Your point of view
Put your value into words.

Lesson three. Your point of view. Put your value into words. A point of view is how you see your field: what you believe, what you'd do differently, and why. It grows out of your lived experience and your judgment. Judgment is your sense of what matters and what to skip. Two people can know the same facts; the one with judgment knows which ones matter here. Put into one sentence, that's your point of view. Why it matters. This is your authentic expression in one line: what only you can say, because you know it from the inside. For example. "I help first-time founders stay calm, because I know what a company falling apart feels like from the inside." Or: "I help nurses speak up, because I know from the inside what staying quiet cost me." Where this leads. It's the sentence the rest of the course helps you live by and share. Hold on to this. Your point of view comes from your lived experience, your judgment, and how you see the world. No one else can say it the way you can.

The lesson
A point of view is how you see your field: what you believe, what you'd do differently, and why. It grows out of your lived experience and your judgment.
Judgment is your sense of what matters and what to skip. Two people can know the same facts; the one with judgment knows which ones matter here. Put into one sentence, that's your point of view.

It's the sentence the rest of the course helps you live by and share.
For example
"I help first-time founders stay calm, because I know what a company falling apart feels like from the inside."
"I help nurses speak up, because I know from the inside what staying quiet cost me."
Start a huge, foolish project, like Noah. It makes absolutely no difference what people think of you.
In plain words
Build what you believe in, even if it looks strange to others. Their opinion doesn't decide it.
For this lesson
A point of view is your ark. Say it plainly, whatever people think.
Your practice · about 8 min
Draft one sentence: I help someone, because I know something from the inside. Say it out loud. Rewrite it until it opens you up.
Why it mattersIf it opens you up, it's true. If it tightens you, it's still borrowed.
Your point of view, in one sentence.
I help because I know from the inside.
Say it out loud. Does your body open, or tighten? Rewrite it until it opens.
Say it out loudI keep…
And the other optionI let go of…
Opening usually points toward love. Tightening usually points toward fear. Neither is wrong. Both are information.
