Stage 08 · Love over fear Lesson 2 of 3
Noticing fear
Catch the moments you choose from fear because you don't believe life has your back.
Read it instead
Lesson two. Noticing fear. Catch the moments you choose from fear because you don't believe life has your back. Fear rarely says "I'm afraid". It shows up as rushing, grasping, comparing, people-pleasing or holding back. People-pleasing means saying yes, or staying quiet, to keep others happy at your own cost. Underneath, most fear choices come from feeling alone, as if everything depends on you. A fear log catches these moments, so you can see them without judging them. Why it matters. Every fear you notice is one less choice made for you, and one more moment you can speak as yourself. For example. Rewriting a post six times, then not posting: holding back. Underneath: not enough. Or: Agreeing to a deadline you knew was wrong: people-pleasing. Underneath: unsafe. Where this leads. It trains you to spot fear in real time, before it edits your voice. Hold on to this. Fear says I have to control everything or it will fall apart. Trust says I'll do my part and let the rest unfold. Most fear choices come from feeling alone.

Move within, but don't move the way fear makes you move.
In plain words
Act from your center, not from fear's pushing and rushing.
For this lesson
Rushing, grasping, people-pleasing: that's moving the way fear makes you move. The log helps you see it.
Your practice · about 3 min
For one week, log each moment you notice fear: what happened, and one word for the feeling underneath.
Why it mattersA week of notes shows your most common fear. That's the one to work with.
Your fear log, for one week. Each time you catch yourself rushing, grasping, comparing, people-pleasing or holding back, write it down.
